To My Precious Someone
Where were you, daddy
when my siblings beat me?
when they broke my cherished things?
when they called me nasty names?
Where were you, daddy when I needed you to hold and affirm me?
when I needed someone to listen and love me?
when I needed you to tell me I was your precious someone?
Where were you daddy
when the boys lied to me?
when the wolves in sheep’s clothing used me?
when they broke my heart then my life?
Where was your daddy when you needed to be held and affirmed?
when you needed to be listened to and loved?
when you needed to hear you were his precious someone?
Where was your daddy
when you needed to hear about God’s love?
when you needed to hear how He forgives?
when you needed to hear about His healing powers
I wonder, daddy
if you know how much we love you, God and I?
if you want to know Him?
know me?
if you, too, want to be healed?
